Did a quick search on CP.com and in the forums and couldn’t find them. These short films are works of art in their own right, they shouldn’t just disappear into the ether. Where they be hidin’ at? |

Those are a blast to make too. Steve Delahoyde directs them and Bryan Bedell is the ref. Maybe we should make film telling the Ref’s back story. My favorite was the week we took off for Thanksgiving |

That one was awesome. I also like the one on the overpass with all the cars. Bryan and vehicles pass in front of the names, a pedestrian behind. Must have been a bitch to mask. Backstory would be awesome. |

Hey, thanks much. Not much backstory to it, other than “it was a bitch to mask.” It was a pretty similar situation as the rest of them, where we’d come up with an idea of where to shoot, go there, not really fall in love with it and then see something across the street. That one worked out really well with all the timing of the cars and the guy walking randomly behind him. When it comes to all the masking, I can get carried away sometimes, trying to make it look as seamless as possible and I think, in that one, I even masked out the windows in nearly every car, so you can even see the player’s names behind the glass, as you would if, you know, they were actually there in real life. Of course, had you blinked during that single frame something like that was visible, would would have missed it. But I guess my knowing that stuff is there is what’s really important. Helps me sleep better at night. |
