HERE’S TODAY’S IN-FORUM COMPETITION Each week we do an oddball contest here in the forums to help pass the time between volleys. This week, take a phrase from the play-by-play commentary and set it nicely as a headline. I did one from the Match Preview as an example. Check it here Then post a link to yours in this thread before a winner is declared today. We’ll choose one winner and send him or her a Jewelboxing 20pack and a few runners up will receive Field Notes Memo Books

Coudal, love the idea of the contest. Maybe a secondary contest (and borrowing the idea from Fuzzy) would be to create new, outlandish rules for Layer Tennis. Some thing like All GIFs involving day-glo color schemes must be accompanied to 60s acid rock as sung by Yma Sumac. That sort of thing.

Alright… the serve has me optimistic. A little competitive (I assume that’s Veerle as the Voodoo doll), plenty to work with, definitely in her own style.

The only nit I’d have is “result of too watching too much Alias”... maybe better to show us that, than tell us.

Ooohh… I just realized that the serve was by Veerle Pieters. OK, that’s a nice twist on the usual kind of gorilla-chest-pounding we’ve seen in Layer Tennis—preemptive projected competitiveness.

I feel a little presumptuous, (first-timer) but here’s my entry for the in-forum competition. See if you can guess what the font selections have to do with the line from the play-by-play. I laid it out in TextEdit, too (waiting on my CS3 order to come in at my new job).
