An end of the season Layer Tennis Playoff Fiasco! Two matches at once! Anything can happen. Chris Glass vs Shaun Inman with commentary by John Gruber plus at the very same time Jason Koxvold vs James Hutchinson with commentary by the Dean of Layer-By-Layer Commentary, Rosecrans Baldwin. Coin flips coming. We’re declaring tomorrow a holiday. In-office drinking commences if and when one of the matches reaches Layer 7.

HERE’S THIS WEEK’S IN-FORUM COMPETITION Each week we do an oddball contest here in the forums to help pass the time between volleys. This week, take an element from each of the two matches and combine them to make your own volley. Size your work to 900×280 pixels and post a link in this thread before a winner is declared. We’ll choose one winner and send him or her a Jewelboxing Studio Kit ($715) along with some other goodies we have lying around. We’ll also choose a handful of other entries and send them a pack of three Field Notes

And who won the prizes for suggesting the match combinations? I was in very early with Inmann vs Glass on that thread so am liking my odds on picking up some free schwag. Come on…...FIELDNOTES :P

Actually, Guilfoile was in there after Josh, so either Kevin drank all that PBR (entirely likely), or Wigs’ mess didn’t bother Kev enough to clean it up (even more likely, you shoulda seen his desk back in the day). In either case, that beer’s been festering in the carpet for several weeks.

Oh, and the broken wall sconce was Allissa, don’t ask what happened there, and she also totally screwed up the mixing board. Dawson was in there all weekend rewiring it, but you still have to hold down the “CUE” button when the mic is live, which is a drag, sorry.
