Who’s going to win? Who’s winning? Who won? What were they thinking? What are you thinking? |
Really looking forward to this one. Craziness is that these two have collaborated before. Good luck to the contestants! |
Yes this should be a fun one. As Debbie said in the intro, style-wise they’re alike in many ways so we’ll see what happens. We’re going to keep trying different types of pairings for the season, sort of make it up as we go along… |

The winner is the guy with the best tablet. If this guy was in the match, maybe he would win. |

Both of these guys’ work is so intricate, can they keep themselves to 15 minutes a round? Will it just end up a psychedelic vomitorium? Can I ever explain Layer Tennis to a friend in a way that doesn’t make them look at me like I’m crazy? |

as a newcomer to spectator nerdery, I have to say, it astonishes me how excited I am |
looking forward to this! – quite different from last week. (though Matthew starts a few points in the hole for a site that resized my browser…!) |
I think as the contest keeps going will get more crazy. The last competition wasn[t that crazy but this one will be more crazy and the next one more and more and more and more….. I have seen neill durdens work and i love it i will search for this other guy right now. I cant wait to see the match |
I was so disappointed that I had to miss last weeks match and I can’t wait for today’s! If only it started an hour earlier so I could see the whole thing. I loved being able to go back and review the forum from the last match along with seeing the various layers and “volleys”, what a fun game! |
These two seem to have a very similar style. I’m expecting a fair amount of T & A, some Bic pen doodles, and copious amounts of swirling, vector madness. |
My own network excludes this. Luckily I’m at a customer location today. I was thinking it would be great fun if there were a video feed of some kind in the future so we could see the artists at work.. |
When your expectations take hold.. Look out! .. |
nvm |
We all rarely have offhand lollygagging, layer tennis is such a great distraction.. |
Mmmm, swirly vector madness and some jujubees, a taste sensation. Sunglasses? Check. |
Man, amazing Neil, really awesome yellows! I love this game.. |
Sometimes creatives have wickedly intense thoughts that escape realistic scenarios.. I can’t wait to see what happens, I’ve been waiting for this all week! |
Wow—the serve already looks as busy as you might expect a 7th or 8th volley to appear. |
Umm… “Busy Child” comes to mind for some reason… |
What do you all think about the Duerden self-reference in the bottom right corner? |
Serving this alone looks overwhelming, nearly endgamish.. |
This is (a) battle of resilience. Killer accumen loves matching artistry, naturally.. First volley sure didn’t leave any lack of assets. |
When a random hack overtakes logic, maybe things get more difficult than I thought. You’d think we could all just follow the example. That said, what an intriguingly colorful serve. Wild.. |
I love how the Adobe Creative ad blends right in with the initial serve when you slide it all the way on. |
The only thing I’m really questioning is the use of type at the two corners. One would be ok but the “KDU” on the left just doesn’t fit. |
