Just a sidenote…I promise up front that everything you see used in today’s match are things entirely created by Steven and myself. No stock, google images, etc. I understand that was a bit of an issue before…so just so there’s no debate in the forums today about anything

@Fuzzy: Fixed. Thanks for pointing it out again.

we’re not sending out a big email before the match today, we feel like doing that every week is a bit too much. If you aren’t on our list you missed a goofy contest last week in which we asked people to spell the first name of a famous visual artist with the first letters of the words in their forum posts and then to add two periods at the end of the post so we could more easily decode their entries.

we’ll announce the winners later today but there were some really good ones. Check them in last week’s conversation

I feel like this is going to be an awesome match.
Both are really talented at what they do, and their styles are on near opposite ends of the spectrum.
It’s gonna’ to be an orgy of gradients and half-tones!

Aside from witty and insightful comments on the match in this forum, let’s try a little something to keep things interesting between the volleys. This might not work at all, but here goes… During the match take a photo that includes a computer screen displaying one of the volleys from the match and a pair of legs in tube socks. Best legs (male or female) or funniest shot wins. Keep it clean and post a link to your photo in this forum before the match is over. Winner gets a completely complete Jewelboxing Studio.

Tube socks are loosely defined as white athletic socks that go up to the knee. Stripes are nice but not required.

While I realize that a horizontal iPod touch screen is way less that ideal for following a Layer Tennis match, I’m gonna be in a meeting for the first hour and a half of the competition and neeeeed to be able to keep up. Problem is, the “What’s all this then?” text stomps all over the top left side of the main image. Can we small that up somehow, please? For the future at least?
