Who’s going to win? Who’s winning? Who won? What were they thinking? What are you thinking? |
i have thoughts? let me get back to you on that… |

from Joe Moran: Armin “The Hammer” Vit, the Maurader from Mexico—versus—Marian “The Iron Maiden” Bantjes, the Vancouver Vixen—in a cage match. Only 15 minutes to out-illustrate each other. Will the hammer beat down the maurader? Will the maiden out-vixen the hammer? ( Oh god, my copy writing skills are surely lacking. ) Anyway, BE THERE —BE THERE —BE THERE !!!— For the match of the week. And be sure to tune in for Bantjes vs. Vit. VR/ Joe p.s Will probably stay out of it since I “kind of” know them both. But if anything funny happens, watch out! |

Holy shit, Heather Armstrong is narrating this one? That’s so rad – I love her writing and have been reading dooce.com for years. I can’t wait for this match. |

Now that I got this whole “posting” thing under control, would like to restate something: (IN BEST MONSTER TRUCK COMMERCIAL VOICE OVER:) “Will the Hammer beat down the Vixen? Will the Iron Maiden deflower the Marauder? Stay tuned.” (Note to self: Lay off the pixel dust before noon. And run spell checker. And proof read for cryin’ out loud. Sheesh!!! DUDE!) VR/ P.s. Thanks again Mr. C. |

Getting pumped up! Have to polish-up a few things at the office before I slack-off the rest of the day. |

Why have I only heard about Bantjes for the first time about two weeks ago, but now it seems I’ve been running into her everywhere? Sorry to jump the gun, but I’m predicting Bantjes will be the winner. All that growing up in the beauty of Canada had to evoke her creative sense of wonder. That is…unless her ability to do fascinating, amazing work relies on enormous amounts of time for execution. Perhaps with a time limit she won’t pull off the work fast enough. |

Hey AZ - gettin pumped for the match? I’m gonna try to stay tuned, but I leave for Vegas tomorrow and need to make sure everything’s set before I leave. |

Anyone know why my gravatar isn’t showing up? I just signed up for it, and it uses the same email address as my account here. EDIT: Never mind, apparently I’m just an idiot. |

This is going to be an excellent match! I’m excited! |

After reviewing the artists’ works, I have to say that this should shape up to be a difficult match to judge, but I’m going to have to say I think Armin Vit is going to win this one. It will all come down to who’s got the quicker mouse. |
@Tyrun: Yeah, I have to prep my area |
Although I’m still a little bummed about having missed last week’s match, I’m stoked to see what the artists du jour will bring. This should be an interesting one, and because of that, vectory will be ours! |

@AZ: Hahahaha, oh man, that’s great. Wow, nice setup. I’m really thinking you need like 5 more monitors, so you can have each one displaying one volley. Goodbye productivity! And seriously, what does your boss think of this? |
Here’s today’s Forum Competition. Each week we do an oddball contest here in the forums to help pass the time between volleys. This week, take a picture of a volley from today’s match on a computer screen in which the location of the computer or the things around it somehow comment on what’s in the volley. Post a link to your photo here in the forums. We’ll choose two creative winners and give them each $200 to spend in our Swap Meat. |

Oh, and lets see some more of those posters. Comon Victoria’s Secret boy! Share with us the goodies! |
Damnit, AZ is setup to win this side-competition. Speaking of which, who won last weeks? |
@Tyrun: He’s cool with it. He’s a Democrat, too. =) Five more you say? Hmm… <edit> looks like i need three more. Four to keep the forums open at the same time. Creativity becons… |
Hahahaha, I apparently am bad at counting, because I didn’t see there’s actually like 7 or 8. So really, you just need one or two more :) Yes, that was a dare. |
When does the match start? My defect list is very small this Friday afternoon :) |
Canadian/BC pride requires me to root for Marian, but I think I’m most looking forward to Heather Armstrong’s commentary today. |

How many Layer Tennis forum-goers does it take to screw in a lightbulb? |
Alright, so this is pretty durned cool. I don’t know any of you and you don’t know me, but m’name’s Evan and I’m dropping in for the first of many times. Nice to meet youz guys. |
@Plasticmind: Infinite. And none. Layer Tennis forum-goers won’t budge from their computer to bother with changing a lightbulb unless there was some sort of side-competition about it. True story. @evhan: glad to have you aboard mate! Grab a cup of joe, sit back and enjoy the mayhem! Oh, and grab your digital camera and load up flickr, trust me. Join in the competition if you can, it’s a ton of fun. @Mark: I 100% agree with you, I love Heather Armstrong’s writing, and really am looking forward to a good commentary. |
Hey, Evan! @Plasticmind: how many? @Tyrun: hahahah! |
