WOW, that was the single most awesomest match EVER!!

Looks like I’m in the minority here, but I’m voting Bran.

Very close, but Bran provided Ballsy and most of the illustration and narrative, and even though Kox did some interesting stuff in response, it sort of all came back to Ballsy for me.

The flow of the match was a little weird, perhaps a result of both players working ahead of the next volley to get stuff done in time, but it worked.

Oh, and the in-Forum competition definitely goes to Kev Hamm for working nads into a limerick. That had me rollin’, and was the only slightly dirty one of the bunch. We all should have been more raunchy…

After much deliberation and libation, I must call this one a tie.
Bran = the story telling and ability to create scenes in such a short time frame have me floored. I think Bran’s attention to detail and facial expressions may be overlooked by some people, or percieved as flat. I particularly like the small animation of Ballsey’s mouth in the Pirate scene (volley 5). This kind of attention to detail is kind of missing from Koxx’s volleys
Koxx = allow me to place my foot in my mouth breifly. The details in Koxx’s volleys were incredible. They were just of a different type. His opening scene (volley 2) was simply amazing – the camera moves and 3D effects with shading were brilliant. OK, the soundtrack in volley 6 had me friggin laughing so loud I scared someone down the hall from me.

@Coudal: If we can simply not have a TIE, then my vote will have to go to Bran for his kind of attention to detail.
But seriously, a TIE if ever there was one…

Great show, guys. I work in FCP daily and I have thought about how hard it would be to edit something down for this, let alone create it all on the fly in AE.

Well done, both of you. I didn’t get to see it live but followed along shot by shot with the forums when I had time to catch up, which made it feel more like I was here. Seems like this was a difficult one to pull off with the rendering and file size issues.

For what it’s worth, which isn’t much, I think it would have been nice, given the technical limitations (especially combined with the time constraint), to have broken free of the tennis theme. I feel like it may have cramped a more creative exploration of the medium.

Favorite shot: #2. Second favorite: #5. Close match. But I’d give the nod to Jason.

This was the closest match I’ve seen – never been moved to post in the forum, but I think this one needs my vote.

The ideal situation would be a tie, because seriously, getting these volleys done in fifteen minutes is phenomenal, but if I was forced to choose because of a point-blank Ballsy shot, I’d go with Jason. props.
