I generally agree that default filters are for chumps, but not if used sparingly or in a way that mocks the use of filters. I think a lens flare used with Cornell’s characters would be a sort of inside joke. However, in the hands of an over eager child, a piece with potential could turn into a greenish brown easter egg. With all those pretty colors it can be hard to pick just one.
